A Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), pronounced "skiff", is an enclosed area within a building that is used to process sensitive or classified information. Activity and conversation in a SCIF can be restricted from disclosure to the public, making access securely limited.
In a SCIF project, security is paramount. Access to the jobsite is controlled at all times, both personel and professional materials brought onto the job are usually monitored or inspected. All materials must meet or exceed the performance requirements of the SCIF.
In 2006, Dimensions Contracting completed a 1.5 million dollar construction project for Boeing to provide a turnkey construction service of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) and their related Radio Frequency Shielded Enclosures (RFSE). Since SCIF’s are highly secretive and confidential, we are limited to the information we can discuss about its construction. What we can disclose is the fact that the project was completed to the utter satisfaction of Boeing. It was completed on time and on budget, and was pronounced SCIF certified through a thorough testing and inspections program by independent security advisor.
